You could sail for years around these islands and not get bored. Unfortunately, most of us have a limited time to enjoy these waters. The itinerary we suggest is very flexible, it can vary from as little as 4 days to as long as 14 days, depending on our guests’ time and desires.
This is a sample itinerary for a 10 day cruise.
Day 1: We will start the cruise with a short sail from Tahiti to Moorea, dropping the anchor in the famous Opunohu Bay, relaxing with a swim in clear azure waters and enjoying a sunset drink in one of the most beautiful Polynesian islands.
Day 2: Morning exploration of the turquoise lagoon, including a search for hidden underwater treasures and the unique experience of swimming with stingrays and blacktip sharks. Afternoon relax on the boat or a walk to the tropical garden for some stunning panoramic views. Overnight sail to Huahine
Day 3: After sunrise we will anchor in Fare, a typical small Polynesian village. You can explore the boutiques, bar and restaurants on the sea front. Optional bicycle tour of the island. Happy hour drink at the Huahine Yacht Club.
Day 4: We will sail south inside the protected lagoon and anchor in the beautiful bay of Avea, where there is fantastic snorkeling on the coral heads. The shore is great for a relaxing walk among beautiful scenery.
Day 5: Passage Huahine – Taha’a downwind, with good fishing. Anchoring on the south side of the island in the stunning Apu Bay.
Day 6: Morning visit of a pearl farm, afternoon sail inside the lagoon to the east side of Taha’a to explore the colourful Coral river, sunset drink with the stunning view of Bora Bora in the distance.
Day 7: Sail to Bora Bora. Afternoon visit of the town and sunset drink at the yacht club, optional dinner at the famous Bloody Mary’s restaurant.
Day 8: We will sail to the east side of the Bora Bora lagoon with its many spots for anchor. Afternoon walk on the beach, snorkeling, optional drink in one of the many island’s resorts.
Day 9: After a morning swim, we recommend a land tour of Bora Bora for some stunning views of the lagoon. Afternoon shopping in town or relaxing at the beautiful Matira Beach.
Day 10: Snorkeling with manta rays, sailing to the west side of the island, visit to the yacht club and the busy town of Vaitape.
Optional (advanced booking): scuba diving trips, Mo’orea scooter tour, whale watching and swimming.
